The Gamma Psi sisterhood maintains positive morale, respects individual beliefs, commands self-respect, has integrity, has leaders, promotes community service, excels at academics, and has high personal standards. Gamma Psi Begins an Active 2016 School Year

Service is one of Gamma Psi's main focuses and this year is no different. Gamma Psi will contribute time and resources fundraising for Thumbs Up Mission. It is a great foundation with some personal connections within the sorority. We look forward to contributing to such a great organization.

Thumbs Up's mission is to come alongside families in an effort to make memories that transcend time with retreats. They seek to encourage and strengthen families with school aged children where a parent has been diagnosed with a life threatening cancer. Their focus is to battle fear by infusing hope, inspiring laughter and instilling an eternal perspective in each family they serve. Their goal is to come alongside families in medical crisis to help them make memories that transcend time.

Academics, furthering personal growth and goals has always been the primary focus for Gamma Psi.

We had three sisters accepted into the Teacher Preparation Program; Kristen Thigpen, Hannah Carter, and Andria Deering. Additionally, Jack Orr has become a certified Wilderness First Responder.
Gamma Psi members are also excelling in the Young Harris Theater. Clara Levi is performing as a fairy in the children's play this weekend, The Woodsman and the Fairy. Morgan Mims is the stage manager and Hannah Johnson is the costume manager. 

Rewarding Social experiences and fellowship is also fundamental to Gamma Psi . Recently, Gamma Psi had a successful dance with Kappa Sigma, called “Bahama Mama” 

Gamma Psi also had Popcorn on the Plaza and is gearing up for the Sunset Semiformal on October 1st.

Gamma Psi is eager to continue its impact to the community and its members as a truly academic, social, service sorority. 

Gamma Psi Braves Night

Alumni, current members, family and friends are invited to go to Gamma Psi Braves Night on May 28th at 4:10 PM against the Miami Marlins at Turner Field. All tickets are General Admission and $18.00 each. Tickets will be available for pick up prior to the game at Turner Field. Tickets must be reserved by May 20th. Spring Recruitment 2016

Gamma Psi encourages all ladies interested in joining a sorority to attend this week's Rush activities.

“As a musical theatre major, I had the same kinds of classes all day with the same people- So making friends *within the department* wasn't difficult. By second semester, I was in my little theatre bubble with no intentions of trying to meet new people. That is, until one of my mentors …encouraged me to try to meet new people. Through her, and with some of my closest friends, I decided to rush Gamma Psi… and found a family that's unlike any other. I have a home with Gamma Psi.”  –Morgan Mims 

“I wouldn't consider myself the "sorority type," but having a group of girls that know you at your best and love you at your worst is something that everyone should have. Something that drew me towards Gamma Psi is how diverse the group is and how involved they all are! “When I first came to YHC, I wasn't sure where I would fit in. There were so many options for organizations that I was a little overwhelmed. How was I going to find my place among all these awesome people? Some of my friends at work were in Gamma Psi and they were some of the sweetest and funniest girls I had met - and their friendship was so incredible! So, I made the decision to rush and it was one of my best decisions yet! …Being in this organization has taught me so much but most importantly it has made me realize where I truly belong and how lucky I am to call these girls my sisters.
