Gamma Psi Legacy and Lines Project

Hello Gamma Psi alumni and current sisters, we need your help with the Gamma Psi Legacy and Lines Project. We’ve lost some information over the years and want to fill in the all the blanks so that active sisters and alumni can trace their lines from beginning to end and make those connections. You can see from the History pages of the Gamma Psi website that we still missing a lot of information from certain class years: 96-97 missing 50%, 97-99 missing 100%, 99-02 missing 75%, 02-03 missing 100%, 03-08 missing 75%, 09-10 missing 75%, 11-14 missing 50%. Here’s how you can help: fill out the quick survey at the provided link. Then ask your big and little sister to fill out the form. They should in turn ask their big/little sister to fill out the form. This way, we will eventually track down the missing information. There are some founding members that would like to pass on some legacy items, but are unable to do so without a complete line. Thanks for your help with this Quick Survey

Why I Chose Gamma Psi!

Here are a few spotlights on why these sisters chose Gamma Psi. Find out about Gamma Psi during Rush Week, February 2-6, 2015.

"I chose Gamma Psi because I couldn't figure out one type of girl that made up the sorority. Each of us are so different, but are still able to come together and have learned to value everyone despite the uniqueness of each of us. I am beyond blessed with this crazy group of girls that I call sisters!" -Sheldon Clark

"I chose Gamma Psi because I identified with the sorority's beliefs. Seeing the members active in some of the most important parts of campus life as individuals signified to me that this was a diverse and dynamic group- and those are two terms I hope describe me as well. As I began my pledge period, there was no doubt in my mind that I had found a new home. The family I have now in this sisterhood is incomparable, and I'm so honored every time I wear my letters. To be among some of the most involved, talented, kind, and beautiful ladies at YHC is a true privilege. I'm blessed by my sisters and the way they continue to support and encourage me in my academic, performance, and personal life. I love Gamma Psi for the adventures I've shared with a family I'll have my whole life long." -Leah Cheshier

"My freshman year, Greek life was well outside my interests. I focused on two things: school and basketball. Two of my teammates/role models were in ΓΨ, and they didn't seem like the 'sorority type.' That being true, their love for the organization encouraged me to learn more. During rush I discovered how different everybody was, and Gamma Psi felt like home for me. It is a beautiful melting pot of different people, brought together for a common goal. Had I not joined Gamma Psi, I wouldn't have thought to befriend the variety of women that I call my sisters. My bigs were leaders on campus and I still aspire to follow in their footsteps. I was terribly shy, too, but my pledge sisters drew me in and let me be my goofiest self with them. I gained friendships that could never be replaced, and through it all, I would never change a thing. This group of girls is rooted in my heart, and nothing will take their place. FAS!" -Kaycee Cash

"Hi, my name is Clara. I chose Gamma Psi because they were a group of pretty lovely ladies. They accepted me for all my quirks and craziness. I've had the honor of making lifelong friends and memories. I had a hard time adjusting to college but the girls welcomed me with open arms. They gave me a reason to come back and something to look forward to. I am forever grateful for them because I know they'll stand beside me on my good and bad days. If I ever I go hiding they'd know exactly where to find me." -Clara Levi
